What is it ?

What is it going to be? This huge, heavy present from Grandma Patti.

9 presents later (all beautifully wrapped with bows and all) the Christmas cash if found. Oh, it was so heavy because the first box was complete with 2 phone books. It was a riot watching him open it.

Merry Christmas

Preparing letters to Santa on Christmas Eve to put with the milk & cookies. "Dear Santa, I hope you like the cookies and milk. From Cameron" Coopers was an amazing drawing.

A quick pose in front of the tree before bed.

Our first outing on the family gift. It was a huge hit.

Ready to read our bedtime stories in our new sleeping bags. The most used gift of all.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. We started the day at 5:45 when Cameron woke up ready to tear into the gifts. He came running in our room shouting "Santa came, Santa came" He was so excited!! We stayed home for the day and cooked a nice ham dinner with Grandma Sylvia. Friday we went to Grandma Patti's to celebrate with everyone. It was nice getting all the cousins together and watching them play.

Fall Leaves

One of the joys of fall !

7

Happy 7th Birthday Cameron!

Singing happy birthday at school

Let's open presents

Is it that video game I've been wanting??

Baseball time

Cameron turned 7 on Thanksgiving day. He opened presents first thing and spent the day riding his dirtbike and playing. He opted for pumpkin pie instead of cake and loved every bite. Monday we brought cupcakes to his class where they sang him 2 birthday songs and went around the circle saying what they "like or appreciate" about him. It was very touching hearing all the nice things his classmates had to say about him. He had a wonderful birthday and loves being 7!

Gobble Gobble

Cameron's birthday pie

OK, I know we look tired, but come on we are on a 5 night camping trip

7am...the turkey must go on. It was so yummy.

Eddie - ready to ride

Cameron suited up and waiting to hit the track

Cheese

Happy camper

We spent Thanksgiving in our usual tradition at CC Camp. Eddie bbq'd us a 21lb turkey. We were camped with our friends the Kenzy's so we each made a few sides and had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner. Grandma Sylvia even made it up and had dinner with us. The kids got a lot of riding in. Cameron turned 7 on Thanksgiving day and loved spending his birthday riding and eating pumpkin pie.

And 2nd place goes to...

Proud brother!
Proud of those 2 trophies
WOW!
Waiting to compete
Padded up and ready to fight

Cameron competed in a karate tournament at his karate school (he is currently an orange belt). It was his first tournament. Wouldn't you know, he gets called 1st to perform his "kata" - (basically a demonstration of movements) in front of a panel of judges and a huge crowd. He stated his name and proceeded to perform great only forgetting a couple of moves. He ended up taking 5th in that part of it and took home a trophy. Then he moved into the sparring division. He has never offically sparred and was placed with kids from his class as well as the 8-10's. His first match he sparred a 9 year old and won in sudden death. He moved to the semi finals and went up against a girl who happend to be a red belt (one away from black) and won again, moving him into the finals. There he sparred a green belt and lost. He came away with 2nd place!!! Unbelievable. We were so happy for him. We are so proud that he even had the nerves to get in front of the crowd of about 100+ and perform - winning 2nd and 5th was just a bonus! (Our camera takes crappy pix in the school so ...)

Climbing fun

Cameron celebrated his 7th birthday with a few friends at the climbing center. They did the obstacle coarse and climbed several walls. Cameron has a knack for climbing and scaled to the top in record time (who knew?!) Fun was had by all!

Look out Tony Hawk!

Had a day off of school and kept ourselves busy at the skate park that recently opened in town. The kids loved it and want to go back today after school. Billy even showed up and hung out with us for a while.

A rare calm moment

PRICELESS

Start your engines....

Kill'n time in the camper to let the storm pass. A little painting project.

The crew!

He does exist. Taking a break after his ride.

Ready to go!

Full of character. Cooper has a green mohawk on his helmet, and is spinnin a web for the photo.

Went on our first riding/camping trip of the season. We had a ball. Got lots of riding in. Daddy & Billy went for the big ride while the kids and I stayed on the track and went up the river bed which is not yet full of water. The kids can't wait to go back.

It's official, it's finally over

We did it...we finished the Halloween festivities at last. The pumpkin carving was a success. We have them in the kitchen window and light them every night.
