10 reasons to camp in the rain

OK, so we haven't had but a drop of rain this season and the week the kids are off of school it decides to dump buckets the entire time. So what do we do?... Go camping of course. Here are 10 reasons to camp in the rain..
10. Play arcade games
9. Fish
8. Catch a rainbow
7. Play peewee golf (you can tell it had been pretty windy)
6. Relax
5. Hike
4. Play in the little creek, aka - the dogs swimming hole
3. Locate great fishing spots and feed the ducks
2. Play mancala
1. Make sand necklaces

Despite the weather, we had a great time. And we all know CA needed the rain :).

Cooper Goes Solo

Cameron observing the track
Eddie, (our friend) Troy & Billy off for a "big boy ride"
Mommy & Cooper in action
Following daddy on his first solo ride
then off he goes
then there is no stopping him
Cameron rounding the corner

Big accomplishment for Cooper this past weekend. He rode is dirkbike alone for the first time. Usually I ride on the back (ouch, on my back and butt!) to try to teach him throttle control and braking. Saturday he really seemed to be getting it, so early Sunday he tried on his own. It was the cutest thing watching him ride around the track all by himself. He was so proud. Cooper just told me to write "I was riding my dirtbike by myself. Now me and brother can just go out there by ourselves" (well..l'm not so sure about that:-) ). We have a video I've been trying to figure out how to load so if you ever get to see it, you'll know I'm pretty proud of myself!

Supercross

We spent the day at AT&T Park (home of the SF Giants) for the Supercross race. We walked around the pits and the boys got lots of posters and autographs. Cameron loved watching the tractors prepare the track. He decided he'd do that, and Cooper could race.

Sitting track side watching qualifying.
