Country Living

One of the joys of living in the country is getting to do things around your house you just can't do if you live in town. So when I'm complaining about having to dust every day, I should remember that :).

The boys have been itching to ride, once the first rain hits we are ready to roll. So until then although it's hot and dusty they went for a quick ride around the house.

They love watching the "apple guy" work the vineyard. It's picking time so there has been a lot of action lately.
So cool!

Back to School

It's official. Billy is a Senior! Wow in just 183 school days he will be graduating and out into the "real" world. What a great time in a kids life. You just feel on top of the world. Cameron started 2nd grade today. He was stoked!

Senior - Class of 2010

All dressed up and ready to learn.

Cooper wore the same color shirt and did his hair the same "so the teacher will think we are twins"

OK...remember the bell shot from last year (in case not I posted the picture below). We we decided to make it an annual thing so we can see how they have grown. They have both got some height on them. Too cute!!

Going Bananas

We went to the local KOA for a couple of nights. Trying to get that last bit of fun in before school starts. It's great because it is so close Eddie & Billy are able to still go to work during the day and come hang in the evening. The kids & I keep ourselves busy with the park, petting zoo, and kids activities they offer. Cooper was big enough to ride his own banana bike this year. They were zooming all over the place. (New plan, mommy will rent one next time rather than chasing them around by foot.) We went to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner one night and the other Billy & Eddie brought back take-out. Now, camping doesn't get much easier than that!

Yum, we love this place. (We didn't exclude Billy from the pix he didn't come this night)
Cameron has a shark on his face from the face painting activity earlier in the day

Hay ride....yee haw!

Going Bananas! We weren't sure how he'd do because you have to lean to turn them, but he caught right on.

Cameron jams on these things. He loves spinning donuts.

Wilderness Camping..

..well living room camping anyway. We pitched the tent in the living room made s'mores, ate snacks, drank root beer, watched movies and stay up till almost 11pm!

Cooper says we like the s'mores the best. Cameron says he liked the movie and staying up until 11 at night.

So Sonoma County

Nothing says Sonoma County like seeing a hot air balloon on your way to work or school. This one seemed to follow our route as we took Billy to work the other morning. We were so close we could see the people in the basket and the flame. You gotta love Sonoma County!

Grandpa came to town

The boy's grandpa (Grandpa Mel) came to town from Florida. We got to visit with him and Grandma Patti - they actually attended their high school reunion together - old high school sweethearts :). Aunt Becky and Ethan also came for the day. We never get to hang with them with all of our crazy schedules, it was great spending the day with everyone.

Cousins sharing thoughts in the sand

Playtime

Cameron loves taking people for rides on the golf cart. Grandpa Mel went for a spin. Hey I know maybe he can train Cameron to drive one of his race cars....well.. maybe not!

Giddy Up

Grandma Patti got Cameron a horseback ride at Bodega Bay (the coast) for his birthday - no you haven't forgot Cameron's b/d it was back in November, we had to wait for Grandma to feel up to going after her chemo! Thank God she is feeling so much better and was able to come out and take him on his ride. They went for a 1/2 hour ride along the the "wetlands" - which were actually dry due to the drought. They saw a small buck along the trail and some beautiful scenery. Cameron LOVED it and wants to go again for a longer ride. This was his first solo ride not being led with a lead rope. It was cool watching him ride off. Cooper was too young for the trail ride, so he got to do a ride around the farm. He had a ball and can't wait to be old enough to do the trail ride.

Cooper saddled up and ready to ride

Returning from their ride. YEE HAW!
