Yes, Folsom - luckily not the prison. :) We made a trip to see Grandma Patti. She gets tired easily and to extend our trip we got a hotel close by and made the best of a shitty situation. We visited Grandma each day but in the down time found some awesome bike riding trails near Lake Folsom. There is 90 miles of bike trails mostly along the water. It was absolutely beautiful. We rode each day and hung by the hotel pool. Old Town Folsom was within walking distance so we would walk to dinner each night (and even got to drink since we didn't have to drive home woohoo).
Crossing Lake Natoma
Another crossing with the other bridge in the background
We stumbled across a Thursday night market where the boys (and cousin Caitlyn) made awesome tie-dye shirts. The boys get tons of compliments on them.
Hanging by the pool - even watched a couple of weddings through that broken lattice on the fence. Like I said....we made the best of a shitty situation. We were glad to be able to be so close to my mom for a few days!
Welcome to our family blog. We are glad to be able to share the events in our lives with you. We hope this will be an easy way to keep everyone updated and enjoy being able to share with you.

Cool Father's Day Gift
Eddie got a great Father's Day gift...teaching Cameron & Cooper how to waterski. Cameron decided he'd rather wakeboard. He went off the barefoot boom which is a great learning tool. (Yes Eddie put on a great barefoot show for us). It keeps them close to the boat which makes them feel safer and is easier on the throat for hollering directions. He liked it and did a great job - he just needs to get used to holding his breath when he falls and the waves come over his head, that part he didn't like.
Boarded up and ready to go
Oh yeah...he's got it
Cooper went behind the boat. The boom is hard for him to hold onto. Eddie holds one end of the rope and can help keep the proper tension on it. It also keeps him a little closer so they don't feel like they are way back there. Once he's done they both just let go. Cooper did great - he didn't even get his hair wet!
Getting the skis on for the first time
Ready to go
and he's up!
We were so excited for them. It's so adorable seeing them ski!

Grandpa Mel
My dad came out from Florida for a few days to visit my mom. It just so happened his trip was scheduled during Billy's graduation. The boys & I had a nice lunch with him at Billy's work (he wasn't there, he was still recovering from grad night). It was great catching up and spending time with him. We did see Billy long enough for a quick pose. Hopefully next time we'll have some more time. It was so nice he was able to spend some time with my mom.

Bye Bye Preschool
In the middle of all Billy's graduation excitement Cooper finished preschool. They celebrated with a family pot-luck. It was a little sad, he has gone there for 2 years and has had a great experience, we will miss that place. But he's ready to move onto kindergarten. Waaa our baby is growing up!

His teachers Kim & Fran (who teared up saying goodbye) - Tiny Tots will be missed but HELLO APPLE BLOSSOM.

HE DID IT!!!
Billy graduated last night. I was a proud mom sitting there watching him. It was so great going up to him after - he was stoked! I loved that he was so proud of himself. It was a tough road getting there and such a reward for him. CONGRATULATIONS BILLY!! Class of 2010
(this one is for you grandma patti - sorry you couldn't make it but we will see you soon)
