Awesome view

Here are a couple of more pictures from Mother's day.  This is such a great view of the bridge..a must see when doing the tourist thing...heck even when not, just so pretty.
We stopped by here on our way to lunch with Grandma Sylvia and Kerri for some quick pictures .

We were actually dressed for a hike but ran out of time.  Seems like every time I'm at this location I'm sporting a giants shirt.  Hey when in Rome....

We had a nice lunch on the water in Sausalito.  We enjoyed watching that paddle boarder and his dog in the bay.
The kids were trying to crack their crab.  I think it was the first time they had had it.
I took some other lunch shots but they were all candid and I'm pretty sure no one wants me posting pictures of them eating....
anyway, it was a great day!

Color Me Rad

The boys did there first 5k a few weekends ago.  It was the "Color Me Rad" run which raises money for some various children's organizations.  We started out all white and ended up covered in color.  Sometimes it was so thick Eddie would hold Cooper's hand so we wouldn't loose him.  It was crazy fun!
We just arrived and are ready to run (Cooper has his color bombs ready)
 At the starting line....
 Go boys go!
Enjoying the music and festivities after the run
 Coloring bombing around the stage
 Home and feeling tough
It was a great time....we liked the mud run better and the kids are ready for it next time!

Happy Mother's Day

A few Mother's day pictures (thanks Grandma Sylvia).  We made a quick trip to Grandma Sylvia's in Sausalito.  Billy's high school girlfriend Kerri from Mississippi came out to visit him for a couple of weeks (how sweet) - but Billy had to work a double on Mother's day which left her hanging out with us.  He actually had the same schedule on Saturday so.. we did a little Sonoma County wine tasting Saturday (pictures are coming) then Sunday did some Golden Gate Bridge sight seeing.  It was a fast trip down there but we had a nice time taking Grandma to lunch on Mother's day - even scored an awesome table without a reservation!  I have a bunch of pictures on my camera which I haven't downloaded yet, but thought I'd share these she emailed us and wish all the mom's a Happy Mother's Day.

They even feed 'em

A few more pictures from camp

chow time
 Playing in the sand dunes
We pick him up tomorrow afternoon (I even got off work a bit early so I can be there when the bus pulls in).  I think he had a great week.  I can't wait to hear all about it & to see the pictures he took.
The end of the school year countdown starts NOW!

OK...wait - we received these a bit after I did this post so here I am adding them.
More tide-pooling....

Love this shot on the dunes (believe it or not I found him in the picture)

Getting sandy
What a great time!

Packed & Ready to go

The 5th graders at the boys' school does a week long field trip to PEEC (Pacific Environmental Education Center).  It is an outdoor science program filled with several hiking trips and tide-pool exploration.  It is a huge deal that the kids look forward to and hear about since Kindergarten.  Cameron got all packed - you should have seen the list of items they had to bring (15 pairs of socks for starters) - and was so excited to head out on Monday morning.

Gotta love technology.  One of the dad chaperones has sent Eddie some texts to update us on how Cameron is doing.  (I remember when Billy went you didn't hear a peep about them - just had to wonder)  It was great to hear he is having a ball (sometimes being away from home for the first time can be hard, especially for a week).  He even sent a couple of pictures.
Here he is exploring the tide-pools

 This text said "all clean"
We are so excited for Cameron to get to experience this.  It is a great adventure.
Check it out if you'd like

I hope we receive some more pictures as the week goes on.  He looks like one happy camper!

Down & Dirty

Eddie and I did a 5k Mud Run to help raise money for a local charity.  We had never done one before - in fact I've only ran 1 5k and Eddie hadn't even done that so we weren't quite sure what to expect or how we would do.  We headed out to the event nice and early.  they ran it in waves starting at 8am - we took off at 9:20 - every 20 for 3 hours 200 people set out.
When we showed up the early runners were already in and getting hosed off...

This was the last obstacle a hill climb - through some muddy pipes and over the wall either using the rope (Eddie) or the ladder (me) then up this final hill to the finish line
 Nervous but ready to go
 Eddie was ready to run
The race was awesome.  We went through grape vineyards - over mud walls & logs - through mud pits covered in netting so you had to army crawl - down a soapy hill slide into a mud pit - through the Russian River - and up & down hills.
Well we did it.  Eddie got the whole race on video.  We are going to have Billy edit it and put it to music - he's really good at that stuff.  Then I'll have to try and post it - it's fun to watch.
Showing off my "finisher" dog tag
 the muddy couple
Next year we want the kids to do it with us, they would have loved it!
