Just Playing in the snow
Tahoe is just fun, that's all there is to it. We got some great skiing in on Friday but Saturday (beings it was a holiday weekend) was crowded and windy so we went to a play park instead. We had never been sledding before and had a great time playing in the snow. They have a beginner slope that is good with your sledding ticket so the kids & I decided to give it a try.
Tomorrow I will post a video of Eddie & the boys sledding. It's a riot.

Snow
We had a 5 day weekend last week and decided to brave the storm and head up to Lake Tahoe for a couple of days. We got to Auburn on Hwy 80 and they closed the road. Luckily for us Eddie has a friend who drives a snow plow up there and gave us an alternate route. What an amazing drive it was. We were glad we had hooked up with a couple of friends who were also heading up there. It felt much better following people than being alone in the middle of nowhere!
We had a great trip. The drive up took us 7 hours as opposed the the normal 4 but so worth it. We met a few couples that told us it took them 10 hours so I guess we didn't do to bad. :-)

Riding
With all the rain we have been having this season our favorite riding spot has been closed a lot this season. Good thing for us our friends have a track at their house. We have been going over there as much as possible to let the kids get their riding in. We usually trail ride so riding on a track is something new to us. The boys are loving it. It's great practice for the trails.

Happy New Year!
Chinese New Year that is. Every year the Kindergarten classes have a huge New Year's Celebration complete with a dragon parade (with a handmade dragon) and a luncheon. I was so thankful I was able to attend the parade, it's a big deal and one of those moments of your kids Kindergarten years you don't want to miss.
Below is Cooper's class passing by Cameron's class. Cameron is in the background stomping on bubble wrap which sounded super cool with all the instruments being played.

Will work for braces
Well...so much for a vacation anytime soon, we have began the process of making room for all of Cameron's teeth and eventually straightening them. The first phase consists of widening his upper jaw which will hopefully create room for the remaining front teeth to drop in which will then have braces put on to straighten them. This first phase will take about 18 months. Then he will wear a retainer until he is a teenager when he will get the 2nd phase of braces. Wow!
A "before" shot....let it begin
