Camping fun

We went on our first camping trip of the riding season last weekend. It felt so good to be back up there and getting to ride. We can't wait to go again. Hoping to make it for Thanksgiving.

Eddie said something hilarious right before I took this shot. We were cracking up - which made for a nice natural picture.

The boys took a little break from riding and did a painting project.

Hanging by the campfire. Ready to roast some marshmellows.

Cute, but maybe a bit close to the fire his face seems a little red :)

Beetle Mania

Cameron had a project at school to create a beetle out of any material. Each beetle was entered into a special category and judged. He decided to make his out of rice crispy treats. He was awarded - 'most colorful'. Cameron said everyone wanted a bite.

Yeah, I guess I had the box a bit close to the flame but we survived.

Cooper loved helping decorate.

Ta da.... a beetle. He had a rice crispy body, gumball wings & eyes, sucker antenna, and gummy worm legs and pinchers and he lived on top of green sprinkles for grass. Now we can see why everyone wanted a bite. Cameron was pretty proud of it.

Random Fun

What's better than a movie & popcorn while on a drive??

Cooper had me take his picture in front of all the trees in Costco. We have 4 poses in all. He's getting in the holiday spirit.

Project time @ Home Depot. The first Saturday of every month they have a free kids workshop. The boys have built some great stuff...birdhouses, race cars, firetrucks, banks, step stools...the list goes on. If you can enlarge this picture you can see all the pins they have on their aprons for each project they have done. It's a fun, free thing to go do :)

All the random fun for now.. :)

Happy Halloween

Hope everyone had a fun Halloween. Cameron was running a fever so he missed out on trick-or-treating but told me "I think I made a good choice staying home" - so responsible. He also told me if I posted the picture of him in his costume last night (pajamas on the couch burning up) he would get on here and delete my pictures...jeez such threats! He didn't miss all the fun though, last weekend we went to a carnival at his school. They dressed as dirtbike riders and got lots of books & candy. Cooper had a carnival at school on Thursday and Billy dressed up at work last night.
so cute.

take that.

ready for some games..oh Cooper won a cake in the cake walk and picked the biggest one he could find.

getting a prize at school

Billy off to work - rasta style.
Happy Halloween!

Field Trip

watching the apples being washed

apples getting a bath

down the conveyor belt for sorting

bagging his apples

pumpkin time (the rain kept us from going in the patch but they brought a bunch on the grass to choose from)

yum, a snack of what else but apple bread and apple juice.

Coopers preschool went on a field trip to the Twin Hills Apple Ranch. We got to see how they pick, clean and sort apples. Some kids went into the big freezer where they store the apples, Cooper decided that was too cold for him. Cooper had fun on his field trip.

Vroom Vroom

Eddie was having his truck serviced so we had to kill about 45 min. Luckily for us Scandia was right next door so we got to take the boys on a go-cart ride. They loved it. I told Eddie Cooper and I gave him a run for his money...he wasn't so sure. They opened up a new place in town that the cars go 45mph. we can't wait to go one day when we have a sitter and see who can whip who around that track.

Waiting for them to clear a spin out....they think they are going to catch us.

We don't think so.....
