Olympic hopefuls???...

The boys and I went ice skating at Snoopy's Home Ice owned by the late Charles Schultz of the Peanuts comics. We hadn't been in about a year but they both got right on and did pretty well. It was Cameron's first attempt at hockey skates and he liked them. We skated, did the hokey poky and drank some hot chocolate by the fireplace. It was so crowded I think everyone was thinking the same thing, a nice way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Some nice lady offered to take our picture

A quick pose

Well, I doubt we are Olympic bound but we'll have fun in the meantime!

Break in the Rain

After days of wet, wet weather the boys really needed to get out and burn some energy. Even though the rain was falling on Saturday we loaded the bikes and headed to Spring Lake in Santa Rosa. We stopped for coffee on the way and got soaked running in Starbucks. Somehow by the time we arrived at the lake there was a quick break in the rain. We made it around the whole trail without a drop and even the sun shinning. It was amazing....(I think we should have bought a lotto ticket that day).

A quick pose in the SUN!

OK, why the heck are my pix loading sideways?? Someday when I'm not rushing to just throw some pix up here I will figure it out. In the mean time don't hurt your neck looking.

Of course we had to stop and walk out on this dock. I think rain or shine we would have rode a bit, it was perfect to let Cam & Coop burn some energy!

Cooper's Pictures

Cooper decided to go around the house a photograph things. He took about 100 pictures. It was so cool loading them and seeing all the things that caught his eye. Random shots from 3+ feet high. He is quite the photographer!

Tahoe

We feel so lucky we were able to get away for a few days over the kids winter break. We took Cameron & Cooper on their first ski trip to Tahoe. It was amazing up there. There was snow on & off the first day of skiing which made for some great powder and the true effect for the boys to experience. They both took to skiing great. Cameron was even able to go on the green runs with us on the big chair lift. Cooper is still mastering his "pizza" stop, but would ride the magic carpet lift all by himself and ski down to us. It is adorable watching them go. We all had a blast - it had been 8 years since Eddie & I had been and we quickly remembered why we love it so much.

Here's to 2010

Yeah, ski school is expensive but aside from them learning the proper techniques, mom & dad get some skiing in - just the two of us

Warming up after hours of skiing

This shot is so beautiful. It was taken on the way down the hill back to our hotel from skiing. I don't know why it is loading sideways. I tried it a million times and have given up. I still wanted you to see it though...it was amazing.

We found this cool park to play in.

The untouched snow, they had a ball running through it

We also found these snowman friends
An igloo we found on the way home from dinner. We had to turnaround to go play in it. It was really cool!
There is no doubt about it...Tahoe is beautiful. We'd love to make it back once more this season.

2010

Happy New Year's!
Wow, it's 2010. What a year it should be. We have one graduating high school in the spring and one starting kindergarten in the fall. And I'm sure a whole lot of other action in between.
Well, happy 2010 everyone.
