The Russian River
The Russian River is a "resort" area around here. People do come from all over (mostly the bay area I think) to hang out on the river. My friends go all the time and are always asking us to go. We are more of pool/lake people than river people so we tend not to join them, but we finally did and had a great time. The boys loved floating on their tubes and loved that they sell root beer floats and slushies.
Apparently this was a 'slow' day - maybe that's why we go to the lake this seemed crowded to me. I had a great time hanging out with my friends (which I have been friends with since 4th grade) and chatting. We are going to definitely join them next year!
Cooper gave wake surfing a try at Lake Folsom. He tends to be a natural at any sport he tries. He got right up and went forever. Eddie had helped him and was bobbing out there in the middle of the lake. Scary! He needed a big orange flag to hold up.

The Russian River...shall we gather!
I have many memories of that great river. The Jazz Fest is a good time but then it really gets crowded, it is still a fun day. Fun with friends makes it even more exciting!
